Kevin and I have decided to postpone our Chocolate Agouti exhibit until next spring’s Angora Nationals. We’ve had too many unexpected things happen in the rabbitry, and bringing 12 good exhibit animals would mean taking several of my “unicorns” that I really want to keep home.

The Chestnut project has taught me many lessons, but two stand out:

1) Never take your favorites out of the barn. They stay home and make more!

2) Always have more than you need.

I was debating breaking both those rules to bring this exhibit together.

With my July COD approval date, I was given the opportunity to exhibit this fall or next spring. So, we’re stepping back, regrouping, and going full speed ahead with Plan B! My unicorns will stay home and get busy making more Chocolate Agoutis while we prepare for our spring exhibit.
