Community Over Competition: A Timely Reminder in Challenging Times

In a world filled with noise, division, and political tension, now more than ever we need connection, creativity, and community. For us in the Angora rabbit world, the threads that bind us are soft, strong, and full of potential—just like our fiber.
Recently, I was inspired by a podcast episode by Dr. Moira Hanna titled “Community Over Competition: Why Building A Network Is Crucial For Success.” Her message couldn’t have come at a better time. It reminded me that in challenging times, success—and sanity—comes not from isolation, but from collaboration.
I’ve recently hired a business coach, Cindy Bidar, the creator of Six-Figure Systems. Cindy is a brilliant online business strategist who’s helping me bring my vision to life—creating educational Angora courses to support and inspire fellow fiber enthusiasts. I’ve been a longtime fan of her podcast, so when I discovered she’s also a knitter, I took it as the perfect sign. With her guidance, I’m tuning out the noise, leaning into my passion, and building something truly meaningful for our community.
Growing Our Fuzzy Family, Building the Angora Community
Both Dr. Hanna and Cindy Bidar remind us that true success happens when we support and uplift one another. With their inspiring voices echoing in my mind, I’m moving forward with purpose.
Whether you’re brand new to the breed, a seasoned show exhibitor, or a devoted fiber artist, there’s a seat at the table for you. We’re united by our shared love for these magical animals—and by sharing our knowledge, stories, and encouragement, we all grow stronger together.
In that spirit, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the Angora Artisan Academy—a growing hub for fiber lovers, rabbit folk, and creative souls. Inside, you’ll find The Bunniversity, a free collection of resources covering rabbit care, fiber prep, creative projects, and more. We’re building a space where education meets inspiration.

As part of this expansion, I’m inviting other content creators, educators, and innovators to join us! If you’ve got tutorials, workshops, guides, or even just a spark of an idea that could benefit the Angora community, we want to collaborate. Let’s lift each other up and amplify our collective passion.
