Mr. Ravishing – A Chocolate Agouti Giant Angora Worth Talking About
A colorful buck with serious potential… for the right breeder.
Every once in a while, a rabbit comes along that makes you pause and say, “Now that’s a pretty one.”
Mr. Ravishing (TKF223) is exactly that kind of buck.
He’s an F2 Chocolate Agouti Giant Angora with vibrant color that practically glows. His rufus highlights pop beautifully through his ring color, giving him that rich chocolate agouti look that turns heads. Pair that with his excellent body type, nice furnishings, and calm demeanor, and he’s a buck that definitely earns his name.
But what really makes fiber people smile is his wool.
Mr. Ravishing produces tons of crimp — the kind spinners absolutely dream about. His fiber has that lively texture that hand spinners love to work with.
Because of these qualities, Mr. Ravishing is now being offered for sale.
However... if you follow my program, you know I believe in being completely transparent about both the strengths and the weaknesses of my animals.
Mr Ravishing has recently stared in a couple of my recent YouTube Videos; He stars in his own short clip here;
He shares the limelight in my Live #7 with Mr Giggles. Mr Giggles has his first haircut and Mr Ravishing has his pre-big show day belly trim. He just might go to WCC this year to play in the Giant Bonanza.
The Good Stuff
✔ Excellent body type
✔ Beautiful Chocolate Agouti ring definition
✔ Nice Giant Angora furnishings
✔ Incredible crimp – truly a spinner’s dream
Things a Breeder Must Consider
✦ Lighter density across the top than ideal
✦ Could benefit from stronger ear tassels
✦ His grandfather was a Rex, which means there is always a genetic wild card in the background
A Note About Rex Cross Genetics
Originally, I wasn’t planning to sell any of my Rex-cross animals. But as my F2 and F3 generations continue to mature, I’m seeing some very exciting qualities emerging—beautiful color, strong bodies, and unique fiber traits.
Because of that, I feel some of these animals are absolutely worthy of being shared with other breeders who enjoy working with color programs and genetic projects. That said, this type of project requires a breeder who understands selective breeding.
If you decide to breed Rex-cross Angoras, you must be prepared to evaluate critically and cull heavily. Not every offspring will be show quality—and that’s okay. The ones that don’t make the cut will still make excellent meat rabbits, ensuring the program remains responsible and sustainable.
Who Mr. Ravishing Would Be Perfect For
Mr. Ravishing could be an excellent addition for a breeder who:
• Is working on colored Giant Angoras
• Appreciates beautiful agouti ring color
• Wants to introduce strong body type into their line
• Loves crimpy fiber for spinning
